We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support a federal Enterprise Data Platform modernization initiative. The selected candidate will build, automate, deploy, and support cloud-native infrastructure and platform services across AWS environments. This role will focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, platform operations, and continuous improvement activities.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support a federal Enterprise Data Platform modernization initiative. The selected candidate will build, automate, deploy, and support cloud-native infrastructure and platform services across AWS environments. This role will focus on automation, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, platform operations, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and related DevSecOps tools.
- Support deployment, configuration, and administration of AWS services including EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
- Automate operational processes, system provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
- Support platform operations, troubleshooting, incident response, and performance optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and cybersecurity specialists to implement secure and scalable solutions.
- Monitor platform health, availability, and resource utilization across cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform operations.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting AWS environments.
- Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation tools.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification.
- Experience supporting federal government or highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting Databricks platforms and data engineering environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and EKS administration.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST security frameworks.
