About Client Company:

Our client company is US Based that specializes in products for retail stores, wholesale, and distribution partners having 100+ workforce.

Job Overview:

Seeking a Mid- to Senior-level IBM i RPG Programmer/Analyst to join our development team in Weatherford, Texas.

This position involves both new development and enhancement of existing applications supporting our wholesale grocery distribution operations.

In addition to development work, this role will involve analyzing existing applications and business processes by reviewing RPG code, database structures, and working with business users. The programmer/analyst will help document system functionality, including both technical architecture and underlying business logic, to improve internal understanding of our systems.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of IBM i (AS/400) development experience

• Strong experience with ILE RPG / RPG Free (RPG IV/III/II familiarity preferred)

• Experience with CL, DDS, DDL, and DB2/400

• Understanding of database design and SQL in a DB2 environment

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience

• Business systems experience (AP, AR, GL, Payroll, ERP systems) is a plus

• Skills and Qualifications

• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality output

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Self-motivated team player

Primary development will be done using RPG Free in an IBM i environment with IBM Rational Developer for i (RDi).

Experience with RPG II programming styles, OCL, and the System/36 environment is helpful but not required.

Work Timings: 8:00AM - 5:00PM CT (Central Time)
Location: Remote from Pak & India
