Job DescriptionWe are looking for an IT Software Development Manager to join the IT Games & Studios department.You will lead a distributed software engineering team responsible for building and maintaining scalable products used by IT and production teams at Ubisoft.This role requires a strong balance of technical leadership, Agile delivery ownership, and product oriented thinking, with the ability to operate effectively across global teams and time zones.As the IT Software Development Manager, your key responsibilities are:Team Leadership & DeliveryLead and mentor a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutionsDrive technical excellence, code quality, and engineering best practicesEnsure on-time delivery through effective planning, tracking, and risk managementFoster a collaborative, ownership-driven team cultureProduct & Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutionsContribute to product roadmap discussions with a strong understanding of product impactBalance technical feasibility, user needs, and delivery timelinesAgile / Scrum ExecutionFacilitate and evolve Agile/Scrum practices within the team (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives)Ensure transparency of progress, blockers, and risksContinuously improve team efficiency and delivery processesTechnical LeadershipProvide architectural guidance and participate in key technical decisionsEncourage the adoption of modern technologies, including AI-driven development patternsPromote open-source contribution mindset and reuse of industry best practicesGlobal CollaborationWork effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zonesCommunicate clearly with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgroundsAlign with global standards while supporting local team needsQualificationsSignificative experience in building/developing applications and servicesStrong understanding of software architecture, system design, and distributed systemsGood understanding of product development lifecycle and product thinkingExperience working with global, multi-time-zone teamsKnowledge of Python, SQL, TypeScript, Gitlab.
