Job Description

Position: VMware Engineer (W2)
Location: Remote
Clearance: Not required (some positions may require clearance)
Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holders
Salary Range: $110-130k DOE

Job Summary:
We are seeking mid-level VMware Engineers to join our team and support the design, deployment, and management of VMware virtualization solutions for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related technologies, and will play a key role in optimizing and maintaining virtualized environments.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and support VMware vSphere (6.7/7.x/8.x), NSX, vSAN, and related services.
Manage and optimize virtualized infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, virtual machines, and storage solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve VMware environment issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for routine VMware operations.
Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to implement virtualization projects.
Document VMware processes, configurations, and best practices.
Stay current with VMware technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related products.
Experience with NSX, vSAN, vRO, and vRA is a plus.
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
