Job Description
We are looking to hire an accomplished Senior Engineering Leader for an exciting and fun role in our Compiler and AI System Software organization. We deliver foundational technology to enable NVIDIA systems to make AI workloads run at speed of light, and inform hardware/software co-design. Our overall compiler organization makes its mark on every system that NVIDIA produces. Would you like to be part of this world-class organization and lead the charge to even greater accomplishments?We need you to lead efforts and teams responsible for developing core AI compiler technology. The includes graph and kernel compilers, intermediate representations and agentic coding harnesses. That feeds into our world-class system software stack. If this sounds like a fun challenge, we want to hear from you!What you will be doing:Providing supervisory mentorship and technical direction to a geographically distributed team of AI compiler and system software development engineers, including planning, scheduling and execution of projects and activities.Guiding the design and implementation of the NVIDIA’s compiler stackChampioning NVIDIA engagement with AI systems open source communitiesServing as a trusted steward of compiler product offerings, interacting with product managers, key customers and ISVs to ensure responsiveness to critical needs.Developing and executing on a roadmap that delivers innovative optimization techniques that are efficient and enhance AI performance on NVIDIA systems, and enables effective use of key hardware capabilities.Collaborating closely with multi-functional teams developing other related components to ensure language conformance, robustness, high-quality code generation and suitability for developing programs used in deep learning, graphics and safety-critical execution environments.Establishing strong customer/partner relationships and trust through excellent execution and high quality software delivery.What we need to see:MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience16+ overall years of research and technology development10+ years of technical lead/management experienceExperience in developing production compilers or related software and have collaborated on the development of large code bases.Excellent verbal and written communications skillsA team player with proven leadership and mentorship skillsDemonstrated track record of success in achieving objectives under tight deadlines and have led projects with consequential priorities.Strong background in AI compilers and systems software, with a track record in collaboration with academia and open source communitiesFamiliar with parallel programming paradigms and hardware accelerators.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Track-record of success as a technical manager/ leaderProficiency in the CUDA programming languages plus familiarity with deep learning frameworks and NVIDIA GPUs.Experience with compiler development for parallel programming languages targeting hardware accelerators.With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers.
