About the Role
We're looking for a Senior UX Strategist to lead the re-architecture and consolidation of two existing websites into a single, scalable platform. This is a contract engagement focused on strategy, structure, and user experience — not visual design (we have a creative designer in-house). The right person will bring a strong point of view on how to organize content, build intuitive navigation systems, and set up an information architecture that can grow with the business.

What You'll Do
  • Audit the content and structure across both existing websites
  • Develop a unified site map and navigation architecture that merges both sites into one cohesive experience
  • Define a scalable page hierarchy and content categorization framework
  • Create wireframes for key page templates (homepage, landing pages, interior pages, etc.)
  • Establish URL structure, internal linking strategy, and heading hierarchy optimized for SEO
  • Advise on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices — structured data, content clarity, and formatting that performs well in AI-generated search results
  • Collaborate with our in-house creative designer to hand off wireframes and structural direction
  • Document the IA and UX rationale so it can guide future site growth
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in UX strategy, information architecture, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience leading website redesigns, ideally projects involving site consolidation or migration
  • Deep expertise in information architecture — site mapping, taxonomy, navigation design, and content modeling
  • Experience with content migration planning and redirect mapping (301 strategy)
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and how IA decisions impact CMS setup
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals (URL structure, heading hierarchy, internal linking, content siloing)
  • Familiarity with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and how AI-powered search tools surface and cite content
  • Experience working alongside or handing off to visual/creative designers
  • Strong communicator who can articulate the "why" behind structural decisions
Engagement Details
This is a contract engagement supporting a phased website redesign and migration. Phase 1 delivery is targeted for October 2026, with a final migration completion in June 2027. We anticipate this being a full-time commitment through Phase 1, with more flexibility during Phase 2, with the potential for work delivery prior to June 2027.  The anticipated hourly rate is $75 - $125 for this position, with flexibility based on qualifications and experience.

Our Culture
We believe that our differences make us stronger, and we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
