If you're up for the task, we'd certainly like to hear from you!What you’ll be doing:Improve team software process and core infrastructure by enhancing, designing and supporting build systems and regression farms across a variety of platformsDesign, develop, test, debug, and optimize creative solutions for GPU firmware throughout the entire GPU lifecycleEngage with hardware, software, infrastructure, and business teams to grow new firmware and infrastructure features from idea to realityInvent and build AI-powered workflows that multiply your own and your team's outputCreate, document, and automate workflows, processes, and tooling for teams and their internal-facing and external-facing projectsIdentifying and stamping out toil company-wideWhat we need to see:BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE (or equivalent experience)2+ years of relevant software development experience Automation experience with modern CI/CD toolsSturdy technical background in cloud and distributed servicesFundamental understanding of database concepts, object modeling, SQL or non-SQLFirm grasp of software development lifecycle, reliability engineering and scalability thinkingStrong Python and embedded programming skillsExceptional communication skills: ability to define the right problem, write clear requirements, review critically, and explain trade-offsSense of humor heavily encouraged, but not requiredStrong interpersonal skills, as you’ll constantly work closely with both hardware designers and other software engineers to design, develop, and debug functional (and non-functional!) aspects of GPU subsystemsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience in developing device BIOS, firmware, or other low-level embedded softwareTrack record of writing clear technical proposals, design docs, or architecture decisions that others have acted on independentlyExperience with secure development techniques such as threat models, attack-trees, static/dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and negative testingExperience using AI-assisted development tools: knowing when to trust, when to verify, and when to throw away the outputPride and passion evident in your workNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
