Role: GenAI Creative Lead
Location: Remote working until further notice
A little bit about the role:
Awareness and adoption of GenAI technology has transformed advertising, creating exciting new opportunities and challenges for creative teams. We’re looking for a GenAI Creative Lead to play a pivotal role in overseeing projects and or teams, while also delivering high-quality, innovative work directly.
You will be trained on our proprietary AI platform, Pencil, and will use this alongside a range of other AI and traditional tools to push creative boundaries and deliver outstanding advertising solutions. In this dynamic position, you’ll act as a hands-on creative, a project leader, and an evangelist for GenAI best practices and capability-building within the team. You will inspire adoption, champion best practices, troubleshoot workflow challenges and raise creative standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver innovative, GenAI-powered advertising and content-from brief to final delivery-using Pencil and other AI tools, setting a new standard for creativity.
- Take a hands-on role in asset creation and design, actively shaping projects and setting the creative benchmark by example.
- Oversee projects and teams where needed: briefing, guiding, and reviewing work to ensure quality, originality, and brand alignment across all deliverables.
- Ensure the quality and creative consistency of projects, reviewing and refining work (your own and others) to meet client objectives and brand guidelines.
- Bring a sharp eye for detail to all GenAI outputs: spotting and correcting subtle errors to ensure every asset is polished and client-ready.
- Actively drive AI adoption on the creative team: run training sessions, onboard new members to GenAI workflows (with Pencil and other tools), and foster shared learning and experimentation.
- Build strong partnerships with Account and Creative Directors to translate client challenges into impactful, GenAI-driven solutions.
- Present creative ideas, work, and GenAI's potential (and limitations) to clients and stakeholders with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Share effective GenAI workflows, tips, and case studies-helping the whole team stay inspired and upskilled.
- Lead by example as a mentor and collaborator, raising creative standards, encouraging experimentation, and supporting others to master new technologies.
- Champion ethical, responsible, and on-brand use of GenAI, keeping your team updated on the latest industry, legal, or technical guidelines.
- Keep yourself-and the team-at the forefront by staying on top of emerging GenAI trends, tools, and creative techniques.
What you'll need:
- Creative experience in an advertising agency, in-house creative team, or design studio, with exposure to motion or integrated digital campaigns.
- Proven Design/Art Direction/Copy portfolio that demonstrates hands-on creation of both traditional and AI-assisted projects (AI can be personal or client-related work).
- Track record of collaborating and guiding multidisciplinary creative teams.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Veo, etc.) and direct experience generating prompts, assets, and ideas using AI.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and digital content creation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills—able to demystify GenAI and creative thinking for different audiences.
- An adaptable, hands-on approach: equally comfortable leading, supporting, or jumping into new challenges.
- A collaborative, mentoring mindset and genuine enthusiasm for helping others grow - especially with new creative technologies.
- A strategic, solutions-oriented outlook: able to spot where GenAI can unlock creative and operational value.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Optimistic, adaptable mindset regarding the opportunities and ethical considerations of GenAI in the creative industries.
