Job purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to create high-performing social content and polished case study videos. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling and performance, transforming raw footage into engaging, platform-native edits that drive views, retention, and measurable impact.


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote - open to Latam, based candidates.
  • Type of Contract: Pat-time (Remote)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible schedule (Costa Rica Time Zone).
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Advanced / English (C1+ reading, writing, and conversation)
  • Availability: Immediate start required


Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit high-performing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, applying platform-native best practices (hooks in first 3 seconds, retention optimization, dynamic pacing).
  • Produce compelling case study videos that clearly communicate strategy, execution, and results.
  • Transform raw footage into engaging narratives through advanced editing techniques, including pacing, rhythm, transitions, and visual storytelling.
  • Integrate motion graphics, text overlays, sound design, and light color correction to enhance content quality.
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, and production teams to execute concepts effectively.
  • Interpret creative briefs and performance data to iterate edits aligned with campaign goals and KPIs (CTR, watch time, engagement rate).
  • Optimize video edits based on platform best practices, trends, and performance metrics.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring fast turnaround times without compromising quality.

  • Stay up to date with emerging social trends, editing styles, tools, and platform algorithm changes to continuously improve output.
  • Organize and manage assets, timelines, and project files following best practices for scalable post-production workflows.


Required Academic Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience as a creative director in advertising agencies. 
  • Technical certifications or specialized training in video editing, motion graphics, or post-production tools are a plus.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally within digital agencies, content studios, or brand environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and animations.
  • Strong understanding of social-first content, including trends, formats, and audience behavior across platforms.
  • Solid foundation in storytelling, visual composition, timing, and audiovisual narrative construction.
  • Experience working with fast turnaround cycles, high-volume content production, and iterative feedback loops.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics (e.g., watch time, drop-off rate, engagement rate) and their impact on editing decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and file management discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to create performance-driven content optimized for engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote, cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to take direction, incorporate feedback efficiently, and deliver multiple iterations when needed.
  • Experience with project management tools (Workfront, Asana, Trello) and structured workflows.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent requests.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience editing branded case studies or campaign recap videos.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and data-driven content optimization.
  • Basic animation and motion design skills.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote creative teams.



Nice to Have (Not Exclusive):

  • Knowledge of emerging social media trends and formats.
  • Experience with sound design and advanced color grading.
  • Exposure to performance marketing or growth content environments.
