Short Form Content Editor

Job Type: Remote | Full-Time | Independent Contractor

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Short Form Content Editor to own post-production across three core workstreams: client ad creative, internal agency marketing content, and Commerce Social’s own paid ads.

This is a high-volume, fast-turnaround role where you’ll be editing 15–25+ clips per week across multiple brands and formats. You’ll work closely with the Media Team and leadership to produce high-performing, social-first content.

What You’ll Do

Client Ad Creative Editing

  • Edit short-form video ads for TikTok, Meta, and YouTube Shorts
  • Cut raw creator and UGC footage into polished, high-converting ads (15s, 30s, 60s)
  • Build variations of top-performing creatives for testing
  • Add text overlays, captions, CTAs, motion graphics, and sound design
  • Maintain brand consistency across multiple client accounts

Internal Agency Content

  • Edit short form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
  • Turn internal footage (founder content, team clips, events, case studies) into engaging social-first edits
  • Support thought leadership content aligned with the agency’s voice

Internal Ads & Paid Acquisition

  • Edit ad creatives for the agency’s own Meta and TikTok campaigns
  • Create VSL cuts, testimonial mashups, and direct-response style ads
  • Rapidly iterate on ad variations based on performance feedback
  • 2+ years of experience editing short form video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
  • Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, and/or After Effects
  • Strong understanding of direct response creative and conversion-focused editing
  • Ability to handle high output (15–25+ deliverables per week) without sacrificing quality
  • Experience with captions (SRT or hardcoded), motion graphics, and sound design
  • Excellent sense of pacing, hooks, and retention editing
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working asynchronously via Slack and Loom
  • Reliable internet connection and capable editing setup
