Job Description:
Shield AI is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for its aircraft platforms, including V-BAT and X-BAT. This role will shape how Shield AI’s autonomous aircraft are understood and adopted, translating complex capabilities into clear, mission-driven value for defense, government, and international customers.
You will operate at the intersection of aircraft systems and AI autonomy software, driving cohesive narratives that connect platform performance to mission outcomes.
What you'll do:
- Own messaging and positioning for V-BAT and X-BAT across missions, customer segments, and global markets.
- Bridge aircraft and autonomy capabilities into cohesive, mission-driven value propositions.
- Create core marketing assets that drive alignment and impact — including sales decks, product briefs, and campaign content.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and GTM to ensure clear differentiation and consistent messaging across launches and campaigns.
- Lead market and competitive analysis, translating insights into actionable positioning and go-to-market strategy.
- Enable the sales organization with strategic content to articulate aircraft value proposition across technical and operational audiences.
Required qualifications:
- 5–6 years of direct military aviation experience (e.g. pilot) required
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, autonomy, or mission-based technologies.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence across Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and executive audiences.
- Passion for technology that protects freedom and human life.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced technical or business degree
- Experience in product marketing within aerospace, defense, or advanced technology
- Proven ability to develop positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for complex technical products.
