Job Description

At Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, we empower developers and businesses with the fastest PostgreSQL platform designed for transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads. Trusted globally by thousands of organizations, Tiger accelerates real-time insights, drives intelligent applications, and powers critical infrastructure at scale. As a globally distributed, remote-first team committed to direct communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, we're shaping the future of data infrastructure, built for speed, flexibility, and simplicity.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead key initiatives within our cloud platform. You will own critical platform capabilities that shape how customers build, connect to, and operate workloads on Tiger Data, starting with integrations and data connectivity, and expanding as the platform evolves.

Product Managers at Tiger Data start with the customer and are accountable for outcomes. You will deeply understand developer workflows and customer pain points, define clear problems to solve, set strategy, and drive execution end-to-end. You are responsible not just for shipping features, but for ensuring they deliver measurable adoption and business impact. This requires strong ownership, crisp prioritization, and close partnership with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.

Tiger Data is a mostly remote company with team members around the world. English language fluency is required. This role is intended for candidates based in Europe, with working hours aligned to European time zones to enable strong collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of our customers, their technical workflows, and the broader data and AI infrastructure ecosystem.

  • Identify and prioritize platform problems to solve, define clear product strategies and roadmaps, and provide engineering and design with the customer, market, and business context needed to build the right solutions.

  • Clearly articulate the value of new capabilities before and during development, incorporating customer feedback and evolving market dynamics.

  • Collaborate with finance to define pricing and packaging for new capabilities, incorporating customer research, infrastructure costs, and competitive dynamics.

  • Partner with marketing and sales to define positioning and messaging and drive adoption.

  • Define success metrics, measure product adoption and usage, run experiments, and use data to inform decisions and iterate quickly.

  • Support customer conversations and sales enablement efforts as needed.

  • Act as the connective tissue between engineering, design, marketing, customer care, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including experience working on complex technical products or platforms for a technical audience.

  • Experience with developer-facing infrastructure, cloud platforms, or data-intensive systems; familiarity with modern distributed systems and emerging AI-native application patterns.

  • Technical background: Computer Science degree or prior software engineering experience.

  • Experience partnering with marketing and sales to bring technical products to market.

  • Experience contributing to pricing and packaging decisions for technical products is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.

  • Ability to combine data-driven decision-making with strong user empathy to determine what, when, and why to ship.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces and turning them into clear execution plans.

  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to move initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Our Commitment:

  • We respond to every applicant.

  • We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.

  • We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey.

  • We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization.
