Job Description
Omnidian Australia is moving from "bespoke" to "scalable." After proving our value through early wins, we are now ready to build the permanent, automated infrastructure that will power our growth.
As the Product Manager for Australia, you are the architect of our localized expansion. Reporting directly to the VP of Product (US), you will act as the owner of the Australian product domain. You will be responsible for taking broad business requirements and turning them into high-impact software + services products.
This role requires a leader who can "flex" across the entire product stack, someone who can navigate deep market research and customer empathy, executive-level trade-off conversations and ensure flawless technical execution. You will ensure that we build with key local Australian needs in mind, while maintaining alignment with our global systems and toolset.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Domain Ownership (40%)
-
Market Leadership: Act as the primary authority on the Australian solar market, understanding customer segments, regulatory nuances, and localized pain points.
-
Service & Software Integration: Define the roadmap for products that blend software automation with high-touch service delivery, ensuring a seamless experience for both customers and internal operations.
-
High-Impact Delivery: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of features and service offerings, from initial discovery and requirements gathering to post-launch optimization.
Technical Integration & Collaborative Engineering (40%)
-
Triad Partnership: Partner closely with our Local, Australian-based Technical Leader and US-based Engineering/Product teams to ensure Australian requirements are seamlessly integrated into our global platform.
-
System Alignment: Ensure we are leveraging a consistent global toolset while advocating for the specific technical architectural needs of the Australian market.
-
Execution Excellence: Navigate technical constraints and define clear user stories, ensuring that the "how" of our build supports the "why" of the Australian expansion.
Market Insights & Feedback Loops (20%)
-
Voice of the Customer: Maintain a deep connection to the frontline, joining sales calls and conducting data reviews to identify patterns in customer needs and pain points.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Marketing to provide the market data and technical insights they need to drive world-class positioning and packaging.
-
Operational Sync: Identify where technology and standardized service workflows can drive efficiency and reduce bespoke effort as we scale.
Who You Are
- The "Full-Stack" PM: You are comfortable discussing API logic with engineers and business margins with the executive team
- The Bridge-Builder: You excel at staying aligned with a US-based HQ, ensuring transparency and consistency despite the distance and time zones.
- The Owner: You don't just ship features; you own the business outcome. You see the "big picture" of the Australian market and the "small details" of the product interface.
Experience You’ll Need
- 7+ years in Product Management, with a proven track record of shipping both software and service-based products.
- Expansion Expertise: Experience taking broad business requirements and turning them into scalable, high-impact products in a new or growing market.
- Proven Execution: You have a history of working directly with engineering teams to build out scalable infrastructure.
- B2B Complexity: Experience navigating the needs of enterprise clients and complex operational delivery models.
Experience That’s a Plus
- Technical Services: Experience working at a technical services company (e.g., managed services, IoT, or hardware-enabled software).
- Scaleup Environment: Experience in a high-growth startup or scaleup environment where you had to build processes from scratch.
- Energy Sector: Familiarity with the Australian residential solar or energy storage landscape.
Work-Life & Culture
- Work-Life Flexibility: Opportunities to work remotely, with 20 days of paid time off annually (accrued) and 10 days of sick leave annually (accrued).
- Comprehensive Compensation: Competitive salary, performance bonuses, and equity stakes.
- Culture of Growth: A collaborative environment with mentorship and opportunities for career advancement.
- Inclusive Community: Global affinity groups, supportive policies, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Passionate team: We are mission-driven and believe in collaboration, mutual respect and trust.
