With a center of excellence (COE) and a project management office (PMO) located in Bogota, Colombia, and offices in Houston and Austin, Texas, NVC provides its customers with a host of solutions, including full Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
We are looking for a highly technical, proactive, and innovation-driven Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET to help lead the evolution of our Quality Engineering strategy toward an AI-assisted and Agentic QA ecosystem.
This role goes beyond traditional QA automation. The ideal candidate will help design, orchestrate, and scale intelligent quality workflows leveraging modern automation frameworks, AI-assisted testing methodologies, and cloud-native CI/CD practices.
You will work closely with Engineering, Product, QA, and AI teams to ensure high-speed, high-confidence software delivery across frontend applications, backend microservices, APIs, mobile applications, and AI-integrated systems.
Role Objective
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer / SDET, you will own and evolve the automation and quality engineering lifecycle for complex distributed systems and AI-enabled applications.
You will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, implementing intelligent testing strategies, improving release confidence, and helping integrate Agentic AI capabilities into the software validation process.
This role requires a strong engineering mindset combined with modern QA expertise, automation architecture experience, and deep collaboration across Dev, QA, Product, and AI teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain Smoke, Sanity, Regression, API, and UI automated test suites.
- Support automation strategies for frontend, backend microservices, internal APIs, customer-facing APIs, and mobile applications.
- Optimize Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD quality gates.
- Leverage AI-assisted testing workflows to accelerate test generation, regression coverage, and scenario-based testing.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, and QA teams to improve release quality and delivery speed.
- Participate in ATDD/BDD-based testing strategies and requirement validation processes.
- Support testing validation for AI-integrated applications and Agentic AI workflows.
- Identify, document, and help drive resolution of software defects and quality risks.
- Contribute to exploratory testing, release readiness validation, and continuous quality improvements.
Skill sets we require:
- 6+ years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Quality Engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Playwright
- TypeScript
- API automation
- End-to-end testing
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure DevOps
- CI/CD pipelines
- Test plans and quality gates
- Experience testing:
- Distributed backend architectures
- Microservices
- AI-integrated applications
- Strong understanding of:

- ATDD / BDD methodologies
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted testing or Agentic AI workflows.

- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Sentry.
- Experience with performance, security, or synthetic monitoring testing strategies.
