About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a skilled Military Aircraft Data Analyst with a desire to learn and grow to contribute to our Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) initiatives. This crucial role leverages cutting-edge data cleansing, interactive data visualization, and understanding of AI/ML technologies to revolutionize aircraft sustainment, optimize maintenance efficiency, and enhance the readiness of our nation’s defense systems.
In this position, you will be instrumental in improving the quality of maintenance data products and building decision-support tools that directly impact mission success. We operate in a collaborative environment and are seeking team members who are eager to learn, adapt, and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute program initiatives from inception to deployment, ensuring strict alignment with business and military mission objectives.
- Design, build, enhance, and maintain intuitive interactive dashboards and web applications using Qlik Sense and Streamlit to support aircraft maintenance analytics.
- Apply modern UI/UX design principles to transform complex military aircraft dataset outputs into clean, user-friendly, and actionable visual interfaces.
- Provide domain-specific expert insights on military aircraft maintenance practices to guide and validate AI/ML model development.
- Conduct Data Discovery and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on maintenance records and flight logs to identify trends, failure patterns, and operational bottlenecks.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement meetings, advising military leaders and engineering teams on aircraft maintenance trends and data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; applicants without an active Secret Clearance will not be considered).
- 4+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience, with experience in data analysis roles (or an equivalent combination of formal education in Data Analytics/Data Science and hands-on military aviation experience).
- Dashboarding & Business Intelligence: Hands-on experience developing business intelligence dashboards and analytical applications using Tableau, Qlik Sense, Streamlit and the like.
- UI/UX Design Principles: Practical understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design principles to create visually engaging, clear, and functional user layouts.
- Domain Knowledge: In-depth working knowledge of military aircraft maintenance procedures, logistics systems, and aviation industry sustainment trends.
- Maintenance Information Systems: Deep knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance data systems and U.S. Air Force-specific platforms (e.g., REMIS, G081/IMDS, or Advana/CBM+ ecosystems).
- Data & Statistical Foundations: Experience with data visualization tools (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and a foundational understanding of statistical methods used in data analysis (e.g., Probability, Distributions, Precision/Recall/F1).
- Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
- Growth: Possess a desire to learn and advance skills in the aviation maintenance data space.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with an emphasis in STEM or analytics.
- Proficiency with programming languages and analytical data tools, specifically Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience working in cloud-based big data platforms such as Databricks.
- Advanced understanding of AI/ML applications and sensor-based predictive maintenance in military aviation.
- Experience operating in Agile development frameworks using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.
