Video Editor (DTC / E-commerce)
Job Type: Full-Time, Mon-Fri (PST Hours)
What You’ll Do
- Edit high-performing video content for paid ads, social media, email, and website placements across platforms like Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Amazon.
- Transform raw footage into engaging, conversion-focused creatives that align with brand voice and campaign objectives.
- Create multiple video variations for A/B testing, including different hooks, captions, formats, and calls to action.
- Work closely with marketing, creative, and media buying teams to understand performance insights and iterate quickly.
- Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, sound effects, and music to enhance storytelling and engagement.
- Optimize videos for various aspect ratios and platform requirements (e.g., 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9).
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Stay updated on DTC video trends, competitor creatives, and platform best practices.
- 2+ years of video editing experience, preferably in DTC, e-commerce, beauty, supplements, or similar consumer-focused industries.
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form, performance-driven, or social media video content.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Experience creating direct-response or conversion-focused video ads is highly preferred.
- Understanding of platform-specific creative strategies for TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and other social channels.
- Basic motion graphics, typography, and sound design skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, storytelling ability, and sense of pacing.
- Familiarity with UGC-style content, influencer footage, or product-focused storytelling is a plus.
