Role: Senior Test Analyst (vendor API analysis and validation)

Location: Remote (South Africa-based only)
Engagement: Independent Contractor | 6 Month Contract

Start: Early May 2026

Role Summary

We are looking for Senior Test Analysts with strong API testing skills, specifically people who can dig into vendor

API calls, understand the detail within them, and make sure the information being sent and received is correct.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse vendor API calls in detail

• Check request and response structures, field-level values, and message accuracy

• Identify missing, incorrect, or unclear data within API calls

• Build test scenarios around vendor integrations and expected outcomes

• Use tools such as Postman or SoapUI to run and validate API tests

• Review JSON and XML payloads and support data validation

• Work through defects with technical teams and third-party vendors

• Provide clear reporting on issues, risks, and test progress

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong API testing background

• Experience working with third-party or vendor integrations

• Ability to inspect API calls closely and spot issues in the detail

• Hands-on experience with Postman, SoapUI, JSON, and XML

• Good understanding of data validation and system integration testing

• Comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong analytical skills and a careful, thorough approach
