The posting, in its own words
We are looking for a Support Engineer to keep Kyivstar's Big Data platform and data products running reliably every day. You will own the full incident lifecycle - from the first alert and triage to root-cause analysis, permanent fix and prevention - across our data pipelines, cloud and on-premises environments.
Requirements:
- 0,5+ years of experience as a Support Engineer.
- Basic knowledge of Linux
- Experience with git
- Experience with sh/bash
- Experience with diagnostic tools (curl, telnet, dig, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus, Grafana or others;
Will be a plus:
- Experience using configuration management software (Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience working with scripting languages experience (Python preferred).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes,
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI or others.
- Experience with ELK stack
- Infrastructure as a code, GitOps principles understanding
- Experience working with Cloud (AWS preferred)
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgeSQL, or others.
Responsibility:
- Incident management
- Maintaining environments and applications (AWS, on-prem servers, K8s clusters, etc.)
- Support development and BA teams
- Configuring and maintaining monitoring systems
