The posting, in its own words

About the opportunity

Join us for an initial 8-week feasibility study (10–15 hrs/week) to design a ground-floor, AI-native ERP system for the public sector, with potential for full-scale execution.

About our client

Our client provides comprehensive HR software for the public sector, covering the full employee lifecycle - recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and compliance for government organizations.

What you'll do

  • Support customer leadership through structured design conversations around ERP systems and public sector requirements.

  • Produce a target architecture for the financial capability set and define its boundary with the existing customer platform.

  • Define the AI-native engineering process for the build, explicitly naming human accountability checkpoints.

  • Identify where AI improves product usability for non-technical agency users and cuts long-run support costs.

  • Establish AI governance guardrails tailored to a system of record for public funds.

  • Deliver a defensible time-to-market model, identifying constraints that headcount addition cannot compress.

  • Recommend Stage 2 scope options complete with trade-offs, sequencing, and resourcing strategies.

What you bring (must-haves)

  • Availability to dedicate 10–15 hours per week during an initial 8-week design phase (ideal for experienced professionals looking to conciliate with current roles).

  • Solid experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager.

  • Proven track record working with ERP systems within Public Sector / Government environments.

  • Deep understanding of financial capability sets, core accounting/ERP modules, and public fund governance.

  • Experience designing system architecture and integrating AI-native engineering practices or AI capabilities.

  • Advanced/fluent English for direct interaction with US executive leadership.

Bonus points for (nice-to-haves)

  • Hands-on experience with AI governance frameworks and public compliance rules.

  • Experience leading discovery, feasibility studies, and greenfield architectural designs.
