Dell IT is looking for a new generation of AI-Native Engineers eager to learn, innovate, and make an impact from day one. As a Dell IT Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers, architects, data scientists, and product leaders to help build intelligent solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. We are seeking students who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with a passion for applying Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world problems.    At Dell Technologies, we are committed to the professional development of our college students by presenting opportunities to strengthen technical, business, and networking skills. Dell IT Interns join us for a 10-week summer internship where they gain exposure to meaningful projects, modern engineering practices, and emerging AI technologies. Interns contribute to solutions that create measurable value across Dell while building connections with peers, mentors, and technology leaders throughout the organization.    Throughout the internship, participants gain hands-on experience in software engineering, AI, data, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms while developing the foundational skills needed for future technology leadership opportunities within Dell IT.   Depending on business needs, your day-to-day role may include:  Develop and enhance software applications, AI-powered tools, or intelligent workflows used by employees and customers   Support the design and implementation of Generative AI, AI assistant, and automation solutions   Explore and apply technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)   Contribute to cloud-native applications and enterprise-scale platforms   Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, data scientists, and business stakeholders   Participate in testing, debugging, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities   Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, and governance principles throughout solution development   Learn emerging technologies quickly and apply them to practical business challenges   Essential Requirements  Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Machine Learning   Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms   Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C++   Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or personal initiatives   Familiarity with Generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, prompt engineering, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)   Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills   Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment   Dell Culture Code/Power Skills Requirements  Demonstrates curiosity and continuous learning, especially in emerging technologies and AI innovation   Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders   Shows initiative and ownership when tackling challenges   Adapts quickly to new situations and evolving priorities   Communicates clearly and effectively   Demonstrates integrity and responsible technology practices   Desirable Requirements   ·  Experience with AI/ML technologies such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar tools   ·  Experience building AI assistants, copilots, AI agents, chatbots, or intelligent automation projects   ·  Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP   ·  Experience using APIs, databases, Git, or CI/CD tools   ·  Participation in hackathons, research programs, technical competitions, or open-source projects   ·  Portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating software engineering and AI-related projects   ·  Experience applying AI technologies to solve real-world business or technical problems   Compensation  Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
