Everything goes through great design and exceptional user experience conveyed in great hardware and elevated by software.As Lead Electrical engineer you will drive the definition, selection, implementation and qualification of the electrical systems embedded in our video products. This will include collaboration with the webcam engineering team, with the technology office, and regular interaction with our external suppliers to inform their roadmap based on market needs and latest innovation. You will also monitor market trends, conduct competition analysis and inform our innovation roadmap. Your technical background and experience allow you to make recommendations, discuss them with a team of seasoned engineers, and drive successful implementation. In this role you will:Collaborate with Project/program managers, product managers and product designers to understand and establish product’s requirementsContribute to the development of new technologies, bring innovation and new ideasEvaluate competition products, new technologies, concepts, systems or components based on performance, user experience, risk, cost, reliability, manufacturabilityPlan future roadmap for key components and influence suppliers’ strategySpecify, design & qualify electronics hardware solutions for video devicesOwn product electrical design from concept to manufacturingAct as a technical leader and key contributor of productsConduct design reviewsDevelop tools and test setups to measure or characterize electronic components or systemsPerform electrical characterization and product qualification, including power consumption, signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, and functional verification.Communicate with multi-competence engineering teams in a multi-site environmentWork closely with suppliers, design partners, and factories to meet cost, schedule, and customer experience requirementsKey Qualifications:For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:> 10 yrs Practical experience in consumer electronics, particularly video productsSystem understandingStrong system-level understanding, including architecture definition, new platform bring-up, thermal considerations, and functional validationProven experience developing camera products such as webcams, conferencing systems, security cameras, or other imaging devices.Familiarity with image sensors, ISP architectures, camera modules, and system integrationExperience with high-speed digital interfaces such as USB 3.x, MIPI CSI, DDR, PCIe, I²C, SPI, UART, or similar technologiesExperience with USB Video Class (UVC) products and USB Type-C system integrationExperience in power architecture design, DC/DC power systems, power sequencing, and low-power optimizationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex electrical and system-level issuesKnowledge of EE lab instruments: oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, etcExperience in the development of test fixtures, including functional test planning, specification definition, and factory CPK validationExperience with electrical validation and characterization, including power system evaluation, signal integrity, power integrity, noise analysis, DC/DC converter qualification, EMC, and regulatory compliance testingFamiliarity with schematic capture and PCB design/review tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalentKnowledge of SW tools / programming: Ex: Python, scripts, Matlab and other automation frameworksAbility to travel internationallyFluency in English (written/spoken)Preferred Qualifications:Experience developing video products such as webcams, conferencing cameras, security cameras, action cameras, or other imaging devices.Experience with AI vision, computer vision, or edge AI products is a plus.Experience with motor control systems, including stepper motors, and BLDC motors.Knowledge of analog circuit design (e.g., AMIC, operational amplifier applications)Experience or familiarity with RF systems and testing is a strong plusEducation:Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent#LI-AL2/104Across Logitech we empower collaboration and foster play.
