Inabia is seeking a Senior Backend API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade enterprise backend services and microservices. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java or Python, hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, and a strong command of modern DevOps and CI/CD practices. Experience in the Telecommunications domain and familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices for enterprise-grade applications
  • Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and integration layers connecting internal and external systems
  • Develop cloud-native applications and services leveraging containerization and orchestration platforms
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
  • Implement robust automated unit tests, integration tests, and API validation frameworks
  • Review code, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers through peer reviews and technical guidance
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • Monitor application health, identify bottlenecks, and drive performance optimization initiatives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps & QA teams, and business stakeholders
  • Support CI/CD automation and deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments
  • Contribute to technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks
  • Work effectively across distributed global teams and time zones

Key Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot preferred) or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or equivalent)
  • RESTful API design and development, API Gateway patterns, OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Version control with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines
  • Shell/Bash scripting
  • Microservices architecture and enterprise system integrations
  • Event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent)
  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest, Mockito) and test automation
  • API testing tools such as Postman
  • Code quality tools (SonarQube preferred) and static code analysis
  • Monitoring and observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
  • Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, performance tuning, high availability, and scalability design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing Telecom OSS/BSS integrations
  • Knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs (TMF620, TMF641, TMF622, TMF633, TMF638, TMF640, etc.)
  • Experience with Kubernetes-based deployments in production environments
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Working knowledge of Golang
