You will handle Kubernetes-based application deployments, CI/CD pipeline support, infrastructure automation, platform reliability, and cost optimization. You will work within established standards and security practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, upgrade, and maintain healthcare applications on Kubernetes using standardized patterns and Helm charts.
  • Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and routine operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Monitor platform health, respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Identify manual processes and automate them to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities such as rightsizing, cleaning up unused resources, and tuning autoscaling.
  • Follow security and compliance practices (HIPAA, access controls, secrets management) in all platform work.
  • Maintain runbooks and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams to improve application delivery.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with Azure or another cloud platform.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AKS, EKS, or OpenShift.
  • Helm charts and Kubernetes administration.
  • Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or ELK.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments.
  • Certifications such as CKA/CKAD, Azure Administrator, or Terraform Associate.

What Success Looks Like

  • Applications are deployed consistently using standardized Kubernetes patterns.
  • Automation has measurably reduced manual work.
  • Platform reliability has improved and incidents are resolved faster.
  • Cost-saving actions have been delivered and documented.
  • Runbooks and documentation are kept current.
