The posting, in its own words
Loadsmart is seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer to drive quality across our logistics ecosystem. In this role, you will focus on manual validation of complex edge cases and error states, ensuring continuous testing throughout the development cycle to identify issues beyond standard automated happy-path scenarios.
You will be instrumental in validating features for our OpenDock, YMS, and SmartGate solutions while actively contributing to the evolution of our internal automation frameworks to scale our testing capabilities.
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
LOCATION: Brazil (Remote)
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
-
Maintain and extend Loadsmart's test automation framework, adding automated coverage for the edge cases and failure modes you find during manual testing.
-
Manually test tickets as they are completed throughout the week, rather than only in the day or two before a release.
-
Design and execute test cases for edge cases, error states, and unhappy paths that go beyond the happy-path scenarios covered by automated tests.
-
Test features by entering invalid data, using unexpected sequences of actions, and exercising boundary conditions to find defects standard functional testing misses.
-
Use AI tools, including Claude, to speed up test case design, exploratory testing, and bug investigation.
-
Perform full regression testing ahead of each weekly release across web and mobile experiences, and write clear, reproducible bug reports that engineers can act on.
-
Flag edge cases and failure modes that engineers' automated test suites missed, so coverage improves release over release.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Over 5 years of professional manual validation for web-based applications, with deep expertise in designing complex test scenarios for error states and edge cases.
-
Proven track record of identifying elusive defects by exercising boundary conditions, invalid data entries, and non-standard user workflows.
-
Adept at operating within high-velocity, weekly release environments, maintaining a consistent testing cadence throughout the entire development lifecycle.
-
Technical proficiency in scaling quality through the maintenance and extension of automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
-
Hands-on experience leveraging AI-driven platforms, such as Claude, to optimize exploratory testing, bug analysis, and test case architecture.
-
Skilled in utilizing Jira or TestRail to document highly detailed, actionable, and reproducible defect reports that empower engineering teams.
-
Exceptional English communication abilities, essential for seamless daily collaboration with cross-functional teams in the US and Brazil.
